Rhayader Church in Wales Primary School received £19,818 for the academic year 2022/2023.
The school funds training courses for staff in the AoLE:
- Health & Wellbeing
- Mathematics and Numeracy
- Expressive Arts
- Language, Literacy and Communication
- Science and Technology
- Nurture Schools UK and Trauma Informed Schools
The whole school focus is on Nurture for Wellbeing and staff training for Additional Learning Needs including Autism training for Responsive Communication and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) training, understanding Autism in girls and strategies to help ASD and ADHD in the classroom.
The school also uses the funding to employ Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to provide quality release time for class teachers.
